Customised learning for your child
Learning at St Martin’s is about supporting each child, guiding them through our Key Learning Areas and extending each child to achieve as much as they can. We aim to develop agile learners and creative thinkers who are well equipped for life after primary school.
Smaller class sizes allow our teachers to understand each child’s needs and customise their learning with plenty of individual attention. When students are ready for greater challenges, we can group them by skill for particular subjects, giving them the benefit of learning with children of other ages, accelerating their learning and focusing on areas where they may need greater support.

A collaborative and nurturing environment
St Martin’s students are leaders of their own education in our dynamic learning environment. We challenge children to look for problems, then analyse and hypothesise how we can solve them together.
We listen to everyone – students, parents and staff – before making a shared decision. This was evident in the design and construction of our new playground. Students collaborated on the type of play space they would like and worked with the staff and a designer to come up with a suitable plan. Parents had input into the playground’s features as well. The end result is a popular, attractive and functional play space enjoyed by all ages from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Our natural bushland environment creates a lovely ambience and is a safe and stimulating place to learn. Beautifully shaded by trees, we enjoy spotting wallabies, ducks, cockatoos, lorikeets and the occasional echidna in the playground. We also have a native stingless bee hive and vegie gardens that our students look after.
Our expansive grounds have a student-designed playground, grassed area, outdoor stage, multi-purpose sports court and a music studio. Take a virtual tour and explore our school.
Strength in community
The support of parents and families, combined with our community focus, make our school such a vibrant place. Parents see us as an extension of their family and they know that teachers’ doors and the Principal’s office are always open. Friendships among families flourish here. Social events throughout the year are hosted by our fabulous Parents and Friends Association who support our school in many valuable ways.
