The aim of the Key Learning Area of Human Society in Its Environment is to enhance students’ sense of personal, community, national and global identity.
Learning about human society and the environment provides scope for students to develop their own opinions and viewpoints and to understand and respect the rights of others. Students will develop their research skills, problem solving and decision making skills. Students will also learn to participate co-operatively in group situations and will learn when and how to take responsible social and civic action.
